TP Link Archer C2300 Router Reviews:

TP Link Archer C2300 Router turned in mixed results on our throughput tests. Its score of 90Mbps on our 2.4 GHz close-proximity (same room) test was slightly faster than the Phicomm K3C router and just a tad slower than the D-Link DIR-885L/ R and the Asus RT-AC86U. Nevertheless, at a distance of 30 feet, TP Link Archer C2300 Router’s score of 42Mbps trailed the pack and was only 50% of as fast as the D-Link and the Asus routers. On our 5GHz tests, the C2300 led the field with an impressive score of 581Mbps, but its score of 185Mbps came up way short of the Asus and the D-Link routers, both of which were more than 100Mbps faster. The Phicomm K3C came in last with a score of 137Mbps.

To test how TP Link Archer C2300 handles multiple data streaming using MU-MIMO technology, we use three identical Acer Aspire R13 laptops furnished with Qualcomm’s QCA61x4A MU-MIMO circuitry. On the close-proximity test, Archer C2300’s score of 155Mbps was just 23Mbps slower than the Asus RT-AC86U and 46Mbps slower than the Phicomm K3C, but trailed the D-Link Dir-885L/ R by 82Mbps. Its performance on the 30-foot MU-MIMO test was disappointing: it garnered only 44Mbps. The Phicomm scored 110Mbps, the Asus RT-AC86U scored 150Mbps, and the D-Link DIR-885L/ R scored 165Mbps.

To test file-transfer performance, we move a 1.5 GB folder including a mix of music, video, photo, and document files between a USB drive and a wired desktop PC and time its read and write speeds. TP Link Archer C2300’s read score of 29MBps was slower than the scores we saw from the Phicomm (32.6 MBps), the D-Link (44.1 MBps), and the Asus (38.4 MBps) routers. On our write test, the C2300’s score of 26MBps was a hair faster than the Phicomm (25.6 MBps), but slower than the D-Link (33.2 MBps) and the Asus (30.7 MBps).

Final:
It’s not only that the TP-Link Archer C2300 is the fastest router we’ve ever tested; it’s also compact and inconspicuous, and it’s jam-packed with high-end capabilities. TP-Link Archer C2300 has the ability to safeguard a network against viral and hacker assaults, and it can be configured to meet your specific needs.

  1. DAVID C.

Very reliable, consistent. In use for 4 months, not a single reboot. Very easy setup via Android app and laptop. My environment: Old house (1924) with old plaster wall, normally challenging for WiFi. Dual band 2.4/5.0 helps a lot. Family of 5, adults and college students, typically 10-15 WiFi devices active at any given time – 5+ mobile phones, Amazon Echo, wireless printer, Sony PS4, 1 smart TV, 2 smart watches, etc. Positioned in center of house. Hard wired to smart TV for video streaming. No WiFi repeaters or bridges needed. Good coverage throughout house. Very happy with AC2300, Definitely Recommend!
