TP Link Archer C6 Router Review:
The TP-Link Archer C6 Wireless AC router is the company’s most latest Wireless AC router. In addition to four external antennas, it sports a new glossy black design. MU-MIMO and beamforming are two of the most recent technologies included in this package. Although TP-Link does not specify the gain of the antennas, it is safe to assume that they are substantial.
When it refers to performance, the TP-Link Archer C6 is no slouch. Thanks to MU-MIMO support (multi user-multiple input multiple outputs), it can quickly link to various devices immediately, and provide them all the same WiFi bandwidth and speed.
Plus, simultaneous dual-band support means that the TP Link Archer C6 router can support a total WiFi bandwidth of 1200 Mbps, with the 2.4 GHz network topping out at 300Mbps, and the 5GHz band reaching speeds up to 867Mbps. In real-world use, we found the speed of 520Mbps on 5Ghz and around 105Mbps on the 2.4 Ghz band, which is the average speed and most of the router in this price range offer the same numbers or less.
Now coming to wireless ability, we put it to test in our typical test environment to showcase real life performance. We tested TP Link Archer C6 router with our Tata Indicom 100 Mbps fiber optics plan and we very happy with the perforamnce of this router.
In the short-range, I can achieve a download speed 97Mbps consistently on Speedtest.net. With my typical long-range test at a distance of 9 meters and a two concrete wall, I am still getting a decent download speed of 60Mbps. The wireless performance of the TP-Link Archer C6 is really outstanding. Generally, I am getting really good wireless speed and great wireless coverage.
Final:
the Archer AC1200 C6 is an outstanding WiFi router that will assist you in upgrading your home network by enabling you to stream 4K material, play online games, and view films in high quality with no experiencing any buffering issues (if you have a connection that is fast enough). For the time being, this is one of the finest value for money Wifi Routers available in the $50-$100 price bracket.

I have Mediacom 200 Mbps service. Setup was fast and easy. Connected to three smart TV’s, two Home Theater Receivers and three desktop PC’s without issue.
One PC is wired direct through the LAN port I get 240-255 Mbps. My second PC is at the opposite end of my 1740 sq/ft house from the router and I use a TP-Link Archer T4UH adapter I get 170-180 Mbps download speed. My third PC is only about 25 feet away using a Belkin model F9L1109v1 adapter I get 142-145 Mbps download speed: I also tried a Netgear AC1200 adapter model A6210 that gets about 120 Mbps on this PC.
My point is the wireless adapter you use will make a difference. This router is on most top 10 lists for 2018 and cost a lot less than the others on those lists.
I am happy with the performance so far. I just hope it lasts longer than the last TP-Link router I purchased.
